Eco-printing is a form of natural dyeing where color is printed onto fabric by leaves and other plant materials. Textiles are tightly bundled with plants and steamed to create one-of-a-kind prints. Some scarves are first dyed with natural dyes such as leaves, flowers, roots, bark, and even insects. Most of the plants I use for printing are gathered by hand in Minnesota.
