Baga Urram are small bags worn around your neck, kept in a pocket or purse or somewhere safe. I hand sew these bags from deer hide, sinew or deer leather lacing. They have snake vertebrae attached to them for protection. Each one is unique and made especially for you. Baga Urram in the Scottish tradition of healing that I was brought up in, connects us with our people who have moved on, our families and loved ones, the earth and our way of life.
They contain items unique to each family and person, often times a small rock, root, berry or leaf. You can fill your bag with items that call to you.
Baga Urram bags have protectional snake vertebrae sewn on. Vertebrae is ethically sourced from found dead snakes and the deer hide is from the US. Baga Urram are imbued with cleansing Frankincense resin (also pictured.)
Baga Urram vary in size but are approximately 2.5 inches by 1.5 inches, Deer hide lacing varies in length but is approximately 24 inches. Each Baga Urram bag is different. You will get the one meant for you.
